As many get ready to go back to school. We wanted to make you aware of educational outreach opportunities in hydrology.
The National Weather Service (NWS) WaterAware program is a hydrology outreach initiative invested in teaching others about the water cycle, river basics, flooding and flood safety, the science behind NWS river and flood forecasts, drought and much more!
We are reaching out to offer students (K-12) an opportunity to learn about these important topics from our hydrology experts! Please see the attached WaterAware flier for more information. We also have an interactive Hydro Hotseat for students ages 12+, which allows the student to experience being a river forecaster!
To schedule a free outreach session, simply click https://tinyurl.com/WaterAwareForm, scan the QR code on the flier, or email NWS senior hydrologist, Amanda Roberts, at [email protected].
