My last post as Two Rivers librarian. Thank you for all of the memories, love and recognition I have received from our Two Rivers Family. What a joy it has been to serve in this capacity at our amazing school. I will miss all of you and all of these precious kiddos. My last baby graduated yesterday and I am retiring. Thank you all so very much!! 📚❤️😭🌸

We are having a spectacular week of playing Library Jeopardy and I’m excited to see how the kids are demonstrating their knowledge of library skills through playing our game. I had special visitors that got to see their Nana at work in the library. Mrs Calderon is learning the library ways very quickly and the students are getting to know her. I know I’ll be leaving the library in good hands. 🥰
All library books are due back next week. Thank you for assisting your child/children with returning or replacing their books.

Welcome to our new librarian for next year at Two Rivers!! Her name is Robyn Calderon and she is simply amazing! She worked the Book Fair all last week and was spectacular! It was so fun introducing her to our students. She will be training with me in the library for the next 5 weeks. Be sure to give her a big warm Otter welcome. 🦦 ❤️

Here are still photos of our preview for our Scholastic Book Fair. All items have a price label with tax included. We were able to earn over 2000 for our Share the Fair Fundraising event. This will ensure the every student will go home with a book! A big thanks to all who donated. Class Book Fair party winners will be notified tomorrow! 📚

Our annual coin drive starts tomorrow, Monday March 25-29th and finishes up April 8th-11th after Spring Break. Book Fair starts Friday, April 12th-19th. Thank you for supporting literacy at our school through the Book Fair! I’ve added a PLINKO game for the Share the Fair fundraiser. Stop in to the library during Book Fair and try your luck. Raffle tickets will be sold for $1 with 25 winners drawn on the last day of the Fair.

It’s that time of year again. Book Fair is coming soon. I will be holding our annual coin drive leading up to the first day of our Spring Scholastic Book Fair from April 11th to April 19th. I will also be open during Open House. This week in the library, the Littles are hearing Unicorn 🦄 stories and the mediums are hearing a new version of Hansel and Gretel. The big’s are hearing a new story by Vashti Harrison titled, Big. This book teaches that words have power. Happy Spring everyone. The coin drive starts next Monday, March 25th. Thank you!

Since it’s feeling springlike outside, I’ve decided to do a Story Walk this week. Each page of this book is laminated and attached to a sign. Each class will walk the story before their book check out time. I’m excited to see how they like it. I’ve been wanting to do this for quite a while now. 🌸🌸📖🌸🌸
