Remember Delores? 💕

Well... she's now Dolly, and based on this update, we'd say she's settling in just fine. 🥹

In less than a week, Dolly has already learned the doggy door, is making herself at home, playing with her new buddy Uno, and even sharing the bed with the family cat (they're still getting to know each other, but it's a promising start!).

Her adopter told us, "Dolly is perfection. She is perfect for our household." ❤️

These adoption updates never get old. They're a reminder that sometimes all a shelter dog needs is someone willing to say "yes."

Thank you to Dolly's wonderful family for giving her the happy ending she deserved—and thank you for sharing her new life with us. Updates like these mean the world to our team.

How is Velma still at the shelter?

No seriously.

I've spent the last five minutes staring at this dog trying to figure out if she's real or if someone accidentally donated a giant stuffed animal.

She's 8 years old, knows how to walk on a leash, loves people, plays fetch, enjoys other dogs, and comes fully assembled with factory-installed cuddle software.

At this point, I'm starting to think everyone assumes she's already been adopted because she looks exactly like the dog you'd expect to see asleep on someone's couch while a family argues about what movie to watch.

Honestly, Velma feels like one of those dogs people look back on years from now and say: "She was the best dog we ever had."

Twelve years.

That's how long Jr. and Socks have spent side by side.

I have absolutely no proof of this, but I'm pretty sure this dog was illustrated by Disney.

Look at her.

The eyebrows.
The ears.
The face.

It seems impossible that more people aren't talking about her.

This 45-pound German Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix is only a year and a half old and has all the makings of someone's favorite part of the day.

Somebody come get this storybook dog.

ADOPTION UPDATE ❤️

This is Mylo, and I'd like everyone to know he's taking his new job as a beloved family member very seriously.

Since being adopted from Bradshaw in April, he's been busy:

🛏️ Testing every bed in the house
🚗 Going on mini road trips
🍦 Collecting pup cups
🥾 Hiking local trails
☀️ Perfecting the art of balcony naps
❤️ Generally being the best decision his family ever made

His family says they can't imagine life without him, and honestly, that's how these stories always get me.

One minute they're waiting in a shelter kennel. The next they're stealing your spot in bed, tagging along on adventures, and becoming the thing that makes a house feel like home.

Mylo's family describes him as a "sweet, adorable bundle of chaos," which feels like one of the highest compliments a dog can receive.

Thank you for giving this boy the life he deserves.

Intense prey drive—no small animals.Doesn't need another day in arena—needs way out! Urgently needs decompression, guidance, loving environment!

Gentle senior lost her beloved owner. Lost only home she ever knew, suddenly in shelter. First timid, now blossomed into sweet-natured gal. MEDICAL: Subcutaneous masses (likely lipomas). URGENT DENTAL NEEDS. Already lost so much. Every day in shelter another without stability, comfort, love. Urgently needs safe place with soft bed, gentle reassurance, dental care, loving home!
