From September 14 through October 9, CAHP members can review their health benefits and make updates for 2027. The CAHP Health Benefits Trust team is here to support members throughout open enrollment and help answer questions along the way.

A few ways to prepare:

Years ago, the California Highway Patrol conducted Planned Vehicle Inspection (PVI) lanes, where vehicles were randomly inspected for safety violations as part of an effort to improve roadway safety. For many retired members, the PVI program represents a unique chapter in CHP history.

🚔 In 1997, George Padilla graduated from the CHP Academy and reported to East Los Angeles for his first assignment.

Nearly 29 years later, he hangs up the uniform after a career that spanned multiple divisions, specialized teams, and leadership roles, all defined by a steadfast commitment to service.

His journey is a reminder that leadership isn't about one assignment. It's about showing up, time and again, wherever you're needed.
