La Ley Laboral obtuvo $18,000 para un Royal Oaks (en el condado de Santa Cruz) trabajador de fresa como parte de un acuerdo en relación con un reclamo de prácticas laborales injustas, en la que Procuradora General alega que Healthy Harvest Berries, Inc., despidió y se negó a recontratar a un trabajador porque presento quejas por escrito a los gerentes de la compañía donde él y sus compañeros se quejaban sobre el acoso verbal y maltrato del mayordomo.

Esta decisión reafirma el compromiso de La Ley Laboral de defender la Ley de Relaciones Laborales Agrícolas (ALRA) para garantizar que los trabajadores tengan el derecho de exigir mejores condiciones sin represalias. ⚖️

📰 ️Another Successful Case!

The ALRB obtained $18,000 for a Royal Oaks (in Santa Cruz County) strawberry worker as part of a settlement of an unfair labor practice complaint in which the General Counsel alleged that Healthy Harvest Berries, Inc., fired and refused to rehire the worker because he submitted written complaints to management that addressed the crew’s concerns about the verbal harassment and mistreatment of workers by the foreman.

This decision reaffirms the ALRB’s commitment to upholding the Agricultural Labor Relations Act (ALRA) to ensure workers have the right to advocate for better conditions without retaliation. ⚖️
