I’m proclaiming a state of emergency in Orange County as California continues to respond to the hazardous chemical incident in Garden Grove.

California Governor's Office of Emergency Services has been mobilized for over 24 hours and state agencies are supporting impacted communities to protect public safety, and assist local officials as response efforts continue.

Please continue to follow guidance from emergency officials.

Continuing the state's crackdown on hospice fraud, California is taking decisive action to dismantle a large-scale identity theft and hospice fraud scheme targeting the Medi-Cal program in Los Angeles.

This joint enforcement effort, led by the California Department of Health Care Services and Attorney General Rob Bonta's Division of Medi-Cal Fraud and Elder Abuse, underscores California’s continuous commitment to protecting Medi-Cal members and safeguarding taxpayer dollars from fraud, waste & abuse: www.gov.ca.gov/2026/04/09/california-stops-major-hospice-fraud-scheme-in-la-brings-criminal-charges-to-hold-fraudsters-accountable/
