California’s public seed bank made history in 2024🌲

Thanks to seed collection by the U.S. Forest Service and CAL FIRE, California's public seed banks achieved a record-breaking collection of 11,330 bushels of conifer seed-bearing cones! These efforts were supported by California Reforestation Pipeline Partnership and are vital for restoring California's forests and enhancing wildfire resilience.

The collected cones will be processed into seeds, grown into seedlings, and planted to rejuvenate ecosystems and protect communities.
