We’re wrapping up our Summer Reading Challenges and we were blown away by everyone’s accomplishments! We had over 600 participants across all age groups. Our Tweens & Teens raffle challenge had 126 participants (second only to the Read & Bead Challenge, which had 300 participants!), who read weekly to have their challenge cards stamped for the chance to win one of four awesome prize baskets. Congratulations to our lucky winners, and well done on a reading-filled summer!

Are you looking for a way to get more involved in your community? Want to help others during emergencies, or learn new skills? The York County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is seeking volunteers to help with it's mission of helping others following emergencies until professional responders arrive and assisting the efforts of responders by providing basic first aid and assisting with tasks such as traffic control and emergency communications. CERT volunteers also organize and participate in preparedness education and outreach initiatives, such as training, tabling events, and more!

CERT is holding a number of training sessions this fall and encourages you to learn more. You can register at forms.gle/eKU47BBCsJtzMiZ16.
