The rebuilding of the stone wall continues! The wall, once crumbling and covered in phragmites - an invasive reed which chokes out native vegetation, is being restored one stone at a time. The perennials being planted along its edge will help highlight yet another beautiful space to enjoy the sanctuary.

Once completed, the wall will be dedicated to long time board member Paul Rheingold who passed away in February at the age of 92. Mr. Rheingold donated his time and efforts to the Edith Read Sanctuary for more than 30 years.
