CSO storage tank project in Meadow Street park. Over 600 yards of concrete will make up the base slab for the tank pieces to sit on. Starting next week over 140 individual precast concrete tank pieces will start to be set and locked together to make one 600,000 gal storage tank. Thank you Casella Construction and Naylor and Breen for working hard to get this completed. This project is funded by a 7 million dollar grant the city received to help prevent sewer overflows . During heavy rains the tank will store the water that would normally overflow and then eventually send it to the wastewater plant to receive full treatment.

Early morning pour down in Rutland!

It’s been a rough summer for Rutland’s maple trees. Maples around the city can be seen prematurely losing their leaves.
