PARKING LOT UPDATE - 6/13/2026:
The individual responsible has reached out to us and has stepped forward to take responsibility for the damage. We are pleased to share that they have agreed to repair the affected area.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to our community for your assistance, support, and willingness to help regarding this matter. The overwhelming response from our citizens is a testament to the pride our citizens take in our community and their support of Cliffside Fire & Rescue.

We also appreciate the cooperation shown throughout this situation and would like to thank the individual involved for doing the right thing and working with us to make things right.

This is another perfect example of what makes our community great, neighbors looking out for one another and working together to solve problems in a respectful and responsible manner.

Thank you again for your continued support of Cliffside Fire & Rescue!

Cliffside Fire & Rescue is requesting the public's assistance in identifying the owner or operator of a gray Ford pickup truck that decided it would be a good idea to use the parking lot at Cliffside Fire & Rescue as their personal burnout pad.

Unfortunately for them, our parking lot was recently paved, and their reckless actions caused damage to the new asphalt, leaving holes and requiring repairs that will ultimately cost money that should be spent serving our community, not fixing damage caused by irresponsible behavior.

This parking lot belongs to the citizens we proudly serve every day. It was not built for street racing, burnouts, or destruction.

If you recognize this truck or know who was driving it, please send us a private message or contact the fire department. We would appreciate the opportunity to speak with the responsible party before pursuing other avenues.

We are asking our community to help us identify the individual responsible and hold them accountable for the damage they caused.

Tonight after our regular meeting we sharped our skills on turbo drafting. Most of our water sources are creeks and ponds in our area. This is a great tool to supply water. I’m proud of our young and old firefighters and Jr firefighters learning this operation. There is no doubt they all showed they can get water and flow it.

Hazardous Weather Update 4.14.26

šŸ”„ The combination of dry fuels, very warm temperatures, gusty winds, and reduced humidity will lead to an increased risk of wildfires again today.

šŸ‚ Most dry grasses, dead leaves, and other tree litter could easily ignite and spread fire quickly.

āŒ A statewide burn ban issued by the N.C. Forest Service remains in place.

For tips on how you can be prepared for wildfires, visit https://www.readync.gov/wildfire
