Celebrating 60 Years of Combined Service: Happy Retirement!

Both of these exceptional public servants have officially stepped into retirement, each marking an incredible milestone of 30 years of dedicated service to the citizens of Rutherford County.

🔹 Corporal Mike Messer
Corporal Messer has spent the last 30 years as a dependable, familiar, and protective presence in our community. Whether on patrol or answering the call in times of crisis, his work ethic and heart for service have exemplified what it means to wear the badge. Thank you, Corporal, for your decades of frontline dedication.
🌟 Thank You for Your Service!
To give 30 years to a career in law enforcement is a monumental achievement. It requires sacrifice, resilience, and a deep love for one's community. While it was wonderful to honor them at their respective celebrations over the last couple of months, seeing them officially turn the page on June 1st is truly a milestone.
"The legacy of heroes is the memory of a great name and the inheritance of a great example."
From Sheriff Ellenburg and the entire staff at the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office: Thank you both for your exemplary service, your sacrifices, and your dedication. We wish you both a long, happy, and healthy retirement. You’ve earned it!
