Thank you to Commandant Ron Labenski, Detachment 710 and the Rutherford Veterans' Alliance for hosting profound and meaningful ceremonies yesterday in observance of Memorial Day.

The Borough of Rutherford thanks our veterans for their service not just on Memorial Day, but everyday, and remembers those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Due to weather, the annual Memorial Day Parade hosted by the Rutherford Veterans Alliance has been cancelled.

A wreath will still be dropped at the Union Avenue bridge at 9:30am and a service will be held in Council Chambers of Borough Hall (176 Park Ave, Second Floor) at 10am.

Please join the Rutherford Veterans Alliance and Post Host Commandant Ron Labenski and Detachment 710 for these ceremonies.

As we welcome the world to our area, the Borough would like to compile a list of residents who speak Spanish, French, Portuguese, Arabic or German who are willing to volunteer to translate, should we experience an influx of non-English speaking guests during peak times of the World Cup matches. Volunteers may be called on to assist the Rutherford Police Department or other services if needed.

Hi Rutherford! My name is Jennifer Galarza and I am the Health Official at the Rutherford Health Department. Our staff here is comprised of a small but mighty team of women dedicated to providing health resources to our residents.

We offer a variety of health education, screenings and clinics throughout the year as well as processing all the marriage and death certificates and food safety inspections in town.

I'd like to introduce you to our hardworking staff who are always ready to answer questions and help guide you.

Public Health Nurses Therese Hoff and Janet Calhoun have a lot of responsibilities which include managing our child health clinics, working with our schools, community outreach and conducting communicable disease investigations.

Health Secretary & Deputy Registrar Mary Montoto manages retail food licensing and vital statistics and serves the town as a Notary Public.
