September is packed with community events, fall fun, and a whole lot of BBQ! 🍁🔥

Here’s what’s coming up in the Town of Rutherford College:

• September 5 – AMUMC Food Pantry
• September 7 – Town Hall will be CLOSED for Labor Day
• Holiday Trash Delay – Tuesday, September 8 pickup will move to Wednesday, September 9
• September 10 – Sunshine Gang Craft Day at 10 AM
• September 14 – RC Historical Society meets at 6 PM, followed by the Town Council meeting at 7 PM
• September 17 – BBQ competitors begin rolling into town, and Town Hall will close at 12 noon
• September 18 – Town Hall will be CLOSED for BBQ events, but everyone is invited to join us that evening! Our first Community Fish Fry begins at 6 PM, with all proceeds benefiting the Lovelady Fire & Rescue. Then TJ Oliver and Lowdown South takes the stage at 7 PM! Bring a chair, bring some friends, and definitely bring a hungry crowd! 🎶🐟
• September 19 – The BBQ Competition is ON! Christ Classical Academy will also host its Back-to-School BBQ Bash next door from 10 AM–2 PM, featuring vendors and activities for the kids.
• September 22 – Fall officially begins! 🍂
• September 25 – Don’t forget: utility bills are due!

As the temperatures start to drop, the events are warming right back up in Rutherford College! We hope you’ll join us for a fun-filled September. 🍁❤️

We are opening spots for local vendors and welcoming event sponsors for our Back to School BBQ Bash. It will be a fun afternoon of music, games, and activities for our CCA families and community.

Vendor fee is $45 and sponsor levels start at $100.

🍂🔥 Boy, do we have some events coming your way in Rutherford College! 🔥🍂

The temperatures may start falling, but the events are just heating up in RC! Mark your calendars because we have a packed fall lineup ahead.

🐷 PIGMASTER’S BBQ WEEKEND
📅 Friday, September 18 & Saturday, September 19

We’re kicking off BBQ weekend on Friday night with a brand-new addition — a Community Fish Fry & Concert alongside our BBQ competitors!

🐟 Community Fish Fry
Lovelady Fire & Rescue will be serving up $10 fish plates featuring:
• Fried flounder
• Slaw
• Hushpuppies
• Fries
• Drink

🎶 Then at 7 PM, TJ Oliver and Lowdown South will take the stage and keep things rocking until 9 PM!

🔥 On Saturday, September 19, competitors from across the Southeast will fire up their smokers and battle it out for the title of Grand Champion!

🏀BBQ Plates will be for sale at the Municipal Park benefiting East Burke Women's Basketball.

🎒 Christ Classical Academy will also be hosting a Back to School Bash with plenty of activities for the whole family. Their event is open to the public, so come spend the day in Rutherford College and enjoy everything happening around town!

We’ve loved seeing all of the back-to-school photos and celebrating the amazing teachers and staff who have worked so hard to prepare for another great year!
