Memorial Day is a great day to enjoy time with friends and family. And most importantly, a time to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice while in service to our country.

LCB held our annual crawfish boil at Lincoln Parish Park. Staff and students served on teams to set up, grill, serve food, and clean up. Teamwork! After enjoying a meal of crawfish or burgers, everyone could explore the park, hang out in the pavilion, or play a few games.

Congratulations to the 2026 NFB Scholarship finalists, including our alum Bryson Jones and Elizabeth Rouse!

Congratulations to our 2026 scholarship finalists! Every year, we award more than $300,000 in cash and prizes to blind scholars in recognition of their achievements and professional aspirations.

“Our scholarship program continues to exemplify how the blind people’s movement builds and strengthens a community of leaders,” said President Riccobono.

“The finalists represent a diversity of academic and professional pursuits, from groundbreaking work in STEM careers to innovative approaches in media, education, and emerging fields. We are proud to honor these blind scholars, each of whom is raising expectations and expanding possibilities. The accomplishments of these outstanding students are proof that the blind can achieve excellence and live the lives we want. We will celebrate these outstanding scholars together at our national convention, where their accomplishments will encourage the next generation of blind leaders to dream bigger and reach higher.”
