Tomorrow's the day! Just a few reminders regarding your payment options.

On your due date, payments must be in the Dropbox by close of business, 5PM.

Mailed payments must be postmarked on or before your due date. (Request a hand stamp from your post office)

Online payments are accepted as on time payments, up until 11:59PM on your due date.

In-person payments are welcomed. Long wait times are expected as we experience higher than usual traffic during tax time. Take the time to make a new friend. Be kind to one another. Be kind to our staff, they are here to help!

Finally, we are currently backlogged with incoming mail. We are working diligently to process all payments in the order they are received, as efficiently as possible.

Good afternoon, Campbell County!

Our 2026 1st installment due date is fast approaching. Many of you have paid us a visit in the last few weeks and you will have discovered, tis the season at the Campbell County Treasurer's Office! We are happy to see you and appreciate your patience as you may have waited in our ever growing line.

We are officially backlogged with incoming mail and are working diligently to process as efficiently as possible, in the order they've been received. Please note the changes in how the USPS handles your payments sent through the mail. We do honor the postmark (on or before June 5th as on time), so you will want to be mindful of this change that was effective December of last year.

***IMPORTANT UPDATE***
Taxpayers that were affected by the Tax Relief Program billing error- We are pleased to say that the Commissioner of Revenue has completed their processes to correct the tax relief information in our system and the revised information will be mailed out today by the Treasurer's Office! * Affected accounts will be given grace and that information is displayed on your notice.

Hey there, Campbell County!

Greetings from your Treasurer's Office Team.

Your 2026 Tax Bills have recently mailed, and it has come to our attention that some bills may contain discrepancies that were identified after the mailing process was completed. Those affected are primarily taxpayers that have qualified and been enrolled in the Tax Relief Program. These individuals will notice an increase in taxes due, as no relief is present on their assessments.

*Again, this only affects taxpayers that are enrolled in the Tax Relief Program.

We are aware of the issue and actively working with both the Commissioner of Revenue and our software provider, to investigate the issue and determine the appropriate resolution as quickly as possible. We understand the importance of accurate billing and sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding while we work through this matter.

Additional updates and guidance will be provided as soon as more information becomes available. If you have immediate questions or concerns regarding your bill, please contact our office directly for assistance. Good evening, Campbell!

I am so very pleased and tremendously proud to say, that Deputy III, Sarah C. Chittum, has completed all of her required coursework with The University of Virginia and Radford University! Her hard work and dedication as a valued member of our team, has earned Sarah her Master Governmental Deputy Treasurer (MGDT) with the Treasurer's Association of Virginia!

Sarah just celebrated her fifth year of service with Campbell County, the last two back in the Treasurer's Office where she got her start. It's my honor to serve alongside Sarah and I look forward to watching her continue to grow in her position.

I see office accreditation in our future! Congratulations, Sarah!!

RUSTBURG, VA - Campbell County Administrative Offices will open at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Wednesday, January 28.

Vital public safety and emergency services will continue to operate on their regular schedules.

Campbell County Department of Public Works has been working diligently to clear snow and ice from parking areas and walkways. While significant progress has been made, slick conditions may remain due to low temperatures. Employees and members of the public are urged to use caution and exercise their best judgment when deciding whether it is safe to travel, based on conditions in their area.

If reporting in person, please:

❄Wear weather-appropriate footwear
❄Watch for re-frozen or icy patches
❄Use extra care when accessing County buildings

Emergency services will operate on regular schedules.
