Her titles are: wife, mom, Granna, Christian, librarian, friend etc., She is my better half and I’m very proud to call her mine. She is that “constant” that supports me unconditionally. We fell off the grid for a few days, but today we are heading home. It’s been a great week. I’m posting this to let my supporters know, that behind the scenes is a model wife backing the man with all the “Fleming signs”. Vote Fleming!! Vote progress. Vote for better roads ahead.

We are less than 2 months away from the election. The support is overwhelming and greatly appreciated. From the beginning, I made two commitments: 1. Not to request financial contributions, and 2. Let’s discuss experience. 33 years of experience in road and bridge construction with the Alabama Department of Transportation. A strong network of relationships with county engineers, assistant county engineers, and consulting firms across 8 counties. From design through construction to final project closeout. Lately, I have been pondering the question, "what kind of society have we evolved into"? I have encountered individuals who reacted as if I had joined a clandestine organization simply because I have chosen to run for commissioner. It is very superficial to assume that public service should be the exclusive domain of the corrupt and unscrupulous. My faith in God and my unwavering conviction that family is of paramount importance are the principles I intend to uphold. Let us always seek the best for our community and country in the days ahead. Regardless of where you are or what you’re doing in life, get involved and do your best to make life better for not only you but everyone around you. Voting information: I have had several people say, “If I lived in your district I would gladly support you” or “If I didn’t live inside the city limits “ I would support you”. If you live anywhere inside of Franklin County and are a registered voter, you can vote for District 1 commissioner in the May primary election. Get registered if you’re eligible. Make a difference. Be prepared. Go vote!! It’s a right and a privilege. God bless and have a great day and weekend!!

I think it’s only right that I allow you to get to know me a little better since I’m obviously asking for your support. Over the next 3 months I will be posting tidbits of information about me, my career in road and bridge building, my family, my faith and whatever else may come to mind. When it’s all said and done, it’s not about the color or number of signs, it’s about experience, maturity, character and just a simple desire to serve your community. Win or lose, my prayer is for the candidate who wins, even if that person is not me. Get informed and make sure you are registered to vote. Your voice matters. A lot of people when running for an office want to spend all their time talking and making empty promises. I truly believe if you are running for a public office, you need to spend a whole lot of your time listening to the concerns of the people that you want to support you. I would never promise the moon but I definitely care about what the people think and want you to know your thoughts and opinions matter. Your vote does count, but most of all your voice matters. As I begin this journey, i just want to say thank you so much for your support. Many people that hold an office make promises they simply can’t keep. I just want to start by saying, I do promise this one thing. I will do the best of my ability to represent the people of Franklin County in a way that makes the people proud and not ashamed. I look forward to meeting many people along the way and simply using the commission office as an opportunity to serve and give back to a community that has been good to me.
