City of Russellville - Recreation and Parks With 23 parks covering 792 acres, there is plenty of room for fun and relaxation in Russellville

The Recreation and Parks department has eleven full-time employees who include four administrative and seven maintenance positions and fifteen part-time employees. These employees are responsible for maintaining the fourteen city parks that total 617.41 acres. Contact numbers for the department are the Hughes Community Center at 479-968-1272, the maintenance shop at 479-968-1271 and the director at 479-968-1205.

Thank you to everyone who came out to learn more about the game, meet new people, and have a great time on the courts!

Our 2026 Fall Baseball registrations are now closed. We are in need of 2 10U coaches and 1 T-Ball coach. It’s a great volunteer opportunity and will allow these kids to be able to play. All aboard for a fun, family-friendly adventure through Downtown Russellville! Children ages 12 and under, with an accompanying adult, will travel to local landmarks and businesses to complete fun challenges, collect stamps and secret letters, and help recover the Russellville Harvest Express’s lost Halloween cargo. At the end, participants will solve the final puzzle and receive a prize!

Good things are happening at the City Park tennis courts!

Our team is busy power washing and sanding the courts, replacing fences, and trimming trees. A brand-new court surface and new nets are coming soon!

Stay tuned for updates on when the tennis courts will reopen. We can’t wait to see everyone back on the courts!
