We had our first Shine Assembly of the school year. We are gearing up to start rewarding our All Stars for showing character traits from our Profile of an OHE student. Students will also be rewarded for showing social and academic growth. Our Word of the Month is Empathy. We are focusing on being understanding of the thoughts and feelings of others.

All Russellville School District schools and offices will be closed Monday, September 7, for Labor Day.

Students will also have no school on Tuesday, September 8, while our teachers participate in a Professional Development Day.

Our kindergarten students have been diving into centers designed to build executive functioning skills. Centers might look like play, but they’re doing so much important work behind the scenes! Executive functioning skills are the foundation for self-regulation, focus, and independence. 🤩

Our students love art with Mrs. Arnold! Mrs. Ludwig's Class read Sky Color by Peter Reynolds. They imagined and painted their own version of the sky. 🤩
