๐Ÿ–คโค๏ธ A Walk Through Dwight Elementary History โค๏ธ๐Ÿ–ค

Take a look at these incredible pieces of Dwight Elementary history that recently resurfaced!

Among the treasures are photos of our school building from years past, an original Dwight Times student newspaper from 1962, and a class field trip photo from the 1960-61 school year. These snapshots provide a glimpse into the rich history and traditions that helped shape the school we know and love today.

It's amazing to think about the generations of Lil' Cyclones who walked these halls, learned in these classrooms, and created memories that continue to connect our community more than 60 years later.

As we celebrate our past, we're reminded that every student, staff member, and family has contributed to the story of Dwight Elementary. Thank you to those who have preserved these special pieces of history for future generations to enjoy.

๐Ÿ“ธ Do you recognize anyone, remember these buildings, or have your own Dwight Elementary memories to share? We'd love to hear your stories in the comments!

A huge THANK YOU goes out to our PE Teacher, Coach Alex Snow, for all of the hard work, planning, and organization that went into making Field Day such a success! From recruiting volunteers to making sure every activity ran seamlessly, Coach Snow helped create a fun and memorable day for our students. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ–ค

We also want to thank all of our incredible volunteers who gave their time and energy to help throughout the day. We truly could not have done it without you!

The weather was definitely a huge factor in our planning, but thankfully it held off and turned out to be the PERFECT day for outdoor fun! ๐ŸŒค๏ธ

Our students had an absolute blast enjoying everything from fishing games ๐ŸŽฃ to the water slide ๐Ÿ’ฆ, bounce houses, obstacle course inflatables, snow cones ๐Ÿง, and so much more!

A special thank you also goes to our amazing cafeteria staff for working so hard to prepare lunch for everyone. ๐ŸŒญ๐Ÿ‘

Seeing the smiles, laughter, and excitement from our students made the entire day so special. Thank you to everyone who helped make Field Day 2026 one to remember!

These little Cyclones are officially

Our students have been working hard during PE completing their FitnessGram testing and challenging themselves to get stronger every day. Theyโ€™ve accepted Governor Sarah Huckabee Sandersโ€™ challenge, and now weโ€™re hoping to bring home the win and earn the chance to meet John Calipari!

We are so proud of the effort, determination, and excitement our students have shown throughout this challenge. Go Cyclones!
