INFORMATION FROM MODOT REGARDING ROUTE AA BRIDGE REPLACEMENT AND ROAD CLOSURE:

You may have already seen the signs that Cole County Route AA is set to close on June 8 south of Russellville. Construction crews plan to replace the drive surface of the South Moreau Creek bridge.

Route AA over South Moreau Creek will be closed throughout construction. Motorists will be directed around the closure via Cole and Moniteau County Route A, Moniteau County Route V, and Cole County Route C. The bridge is expected to reopen to all traffic in late August.

If you’d like to refamiliarize yourself with the details, you can visit the project-specific webpage:

Just a reminder to report concerns to the Cole County Sheriff's Department, including Animal Control, call 573-634-6400 and ask for dispatch. This number goes directly to JCPD Dispatch (they dispatch for the County) where a CAD record of the actual call is made. This is critical for documentation and follow-up. In the event of an emergency, always call 911.
