Please help us by congratulating another one of our newest paramedics, Joe Holmes!

Joe has successfully completed the paramedic program at the University of Arkansas Pulaski Technical College.

Earning this certification is a tremendous achievement that reflects the countless hours Joe has put into achieving this goal. Joe is a US ARMY Veteran and has been serving the citizens of Pope County since early 2023. He’s been an EMT with our service since March of 2025, an EMS Rescue member since November 2023 And the Fire Chief of Bayliss Fire Department/Director of Bayliss ERT Team, all while being a devoted father and husband.

This accomplishment reflects his dedication, selflessness, and willingness to serve!

We here at Pope County EMS are extremely proud of your accomplishment Joe! We are excited to watch you step into and grow into your new role as a paramedic!

Please help us by congratulating one of our newest paramedics, Brooke Chenowith!

Brooke has been with us since 2024. She has successfully completed the paramedic program at the University of Arkansas Pulaski Technical College.

Earning this certification is a rigorous process with having to balance class, ER clinical’s, weekly tests, managing ride times, obtaining patient contacts, passing a national exam to obtain her license all while being a devoted wife and mother working full time as an EMT on B shift. Her hard work and dedication has paid off!!

We here at Pope County EMS are extremely proud of her accomplishments and look forward to watching her continue to grow as a provider and a member of our family.

Today, our very own Cheyenne Nogosek had the absolute pleasure of visiting the kiddos at Happy Campers Preschool and Clubhouse!

Cheyenne brought the ambulance by to give the children an up close tour and talk to them about the life saving medical care we can perform right on the scene and on the go. Educating our youngest community members helps them understand that the ambulance and our crew are there to help them feel safe in an emergency.

Thank you so much to Happy Campers Preschool and Clubhouse for having us. We had a blast!

As EMS Week comes to a close, we would like to recognize every member of our agency who helps serve and protect our community each day.
Emergency medical services is built on teamwork.

From those responding to emergencies in the field, rescue personnel, mechanics, office staff, educators, administrators, and support personnel. Every role is essential in ensuring our community receives the care and service it depends on.

While the public may only see the ambulance arrive on scene, it takes the dedication and hard work of an entire team behind the scenes to make that response possible. Every individual contributes to the mission, and every contribution matters.

Today we recognize someone whose work may not always be seen, but whose impact is felt every time our crews answer the call,
Ron Hearne.

Behind every response is a dependable ambulance, and behind that dependability is Ron. Day in and day out, he works tirelessly to make sure our trucks and equipment are safe, reliable, and ready when our community needs us most. Long before the tones drop and long after the calls are over, Ron is working quietly behind the scenes, making sure our crews can respond without hesitation.

What makes Ron especially unique is that he is also an EMT. He knows what it means to be on the other side of that radio, responding when seconds matter and lives are on the line. He understands that the work he does in the shop is about so much more than fixing a vehicle it is about protecting the crews who serve inside it and helping ensure patients receive the care they need without delay.

That kind of understanding, dedication, and servant’s heart cannot be taught. It is who Ron is.

His work may not always be in the spotlight, but it is woven into every call we answer and every life we touch. Because of Ron’s commitment, our crews can roll out with confidence, knowing the equipment beneath them is ready for whatever the day may bring.

Today we recognize our EMS Rescue Team.

When a call comes in and the situation is anything but simple, these are the people who answer.

Our EMS Rescue team is made up of highly trained, part time, on call professionals who drop what they’re doing and show up when someone needs help in the toughest situations. Whether it’s rough terrain, a serious vehicle accident, or a rescue where getting to the patient takes just as much skill as caring for them, they’re ready to go.

They work in some of the hardest conditions, often behind the scenes and without much recognition, doing the kind of work that takes trust, training, and a whole lot of heart. They stay calm when things are chaotic, work together without hesitation, and do whatever it takes to safely reach, treat, and bring patients to the care they need.

What makes this team special isn’t just the technical skill they bring to every call. It’s their willingness to answer, no matter the hour, no matter the conditions, and no matter how difficult the situation may be.

They do it because they care. They do it because someone out there is depending on them.

We’re proud of this team and grateful for the dedication, sacrifice, and heart they bring to serving our community.
