There is a potential for severe weather this evening, Thursday, March 26th. In the event that a Tornado Warning is issued, our station—located at 320 S. Orchard Island Rd., Russells Point—will be open and available as a storm shelter.

This is a reminder that Ohio currently has a burn ban in place during certain hours due to increased fire risk.

Under Ohio law, open burning is prohibited between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM in March, April, May, October, and November. These restrictions are in place because dry conditions and spring winds can cause fires to spread rapidly.

This includes burning of:
• Brush
• Leaves
• Yard waste
• Debris

Even small fires can quickly get out of control and threaten homes, fields, and emergency responders.

Local Fire Departments have already responded to several preventable fires this season. Your cooperation helps keep our firefighters, residents, and property safe.

If you see an unattended or unsafe fire, please report it.

Great morning for a great cause!!

This morning, our members collaborated with members from Lakeview Fire Department - Fireman's Club to host an Ice Rescue Training. The training was conducted by members of Wapakoneta Firefighters Local 973. Both departments were excited to take advantage of the great ice Mother Nature has provided us.

In an effort to provide a joyful Christmas for all, our station will be open this Saturday and Sunday, December 20th and 21st, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. During this time, parents will have the opportunity to select toys for their children at no cost. We invite all those in need to attend and take what is necessary for the children.
