SCC Russell Center hosted today’s kickoff meeting for the 26-27 Russell County Leadership cohort!

Russell Center Administrator, Regina Haugen, serves as program coordinator. Today’s session focused on leadership styles and applications and featured guest, Mary Lynn Bailey, along with a delicious meal from The Food Wagon.

SCC’s Dr. Carey Castle, Dr. Ron Meade, Chris Hall, and Regina Haugen attended yesterday’s official ribbon cutting ceremony for the SEED Academy, Russell County’s state-of-the-art Agritech training facility set to welcome students this fall. Somerset Community College is proud to partner with Russell County Board of Education to offer dual credit classes in the facility beginning January 2027. High school students will be able to complete a certificate in Agriculture Business/Marketing. This allows students to pursue 4-year transfer opportunities facilitated by SCC’s University Center of Southern Kentucky.
