A full pool, joyous laughter and squeals from the splash pad, ball fields full of determined athletes, concessions cooking, picnics set up everywhere... Oh, you know, just a typical Saturday at the Russell Springs City Park. Mayor Eddie Thomas said the park and the tremendous amount of support shown for it "is truly a blessing." With increased use and interest shown, "the community spoke, and we listened," Mayor Thomas said. Starting Monday, June 15, the popular splash pad will now be open until 6 p.m. (Rentals are available from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.) For pool hours and information, visit the Joseph Smith Hayes Memorial Pool page or call (270) 866-6402. The Russell Springs City Park features other amenities such as a fenced in "Bark Park" for dogs, pickleball, walking trails, and more. C'mon out as there is truly something for everybody!
