Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop today across west central and southwest Florida, mainly in the afternoon. Rain chances are expected to increase across the area Tuesday and Wednesday.

Much of the western FL peninsula received beneficial rainfall today, with highest totals favoring coastal areas and lesser amounts further inland.

Relatively drier conditions expected the next few days before increased chances return mid week. 💦

Showers and storms are already shifting onshore into the Nature Coast early this morning, with numerous storms expected to continue through the early afternoon, mainly from around the Tampa Bay north. However, the majority of the rain is forecast to clear out of the area by the late afternoon hours as drier conditions fill in.
