🚨 NOTICE TO CITY OF RUSK RESIDENTS 🚨

Our internet service provider has informed us that a fiber line was cut in the New Summerfield area. As a result, the City of Rusk's phone systems, internet, and certain office systems are currently unavailable.

During this outage, we are still able to accept cash or check payments for water bills and Municipal Court payments. Staff will provide a handwritten receipt for all transactions until our systems are restored.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as the service provider works to resolve the issue. We will provide updates as they become available.

Alexander is currently in the custody of a parent. We appreciate the assistance and cooperation of our community, partner agencies, and everyone who shared information and helped spread awareness during this incident.
At this time, no further information will be released, and we ask that the privacy of the child and family be respected.

CITY OF RUSK – CITY COUNCIL MEETING NOTICE

The City expects a large attendance at tonight’s City Council meeting due to the swearing-in ceremony and other agenda items.

Please be advised:
• Seating inside Council Chambers is limited due to fire code occupancy requirements.
• An outdoor overflow listening area with live audio will be available.
• Speaker cards will be available for anyone wishing to address the Council.
• Parking and traffic near City Hall may be heavier than normal.
• Please arrive early if possible.

• Chucky Pate – 83 votes
• Frances Long – 58 votes
