Randy J Beatty II, 28, of Rushville was arrested on May 26th, 2026, for theft. Beatty was issued a notice to appear and cite and release.
Eugene D Moore II, 38, of Rushville was arrested on May 26th, 2026, for theft. Moore was issued a notice to appear and cite and release.
Rosanna J Shoemaker, 43, of Rushville was arrested on May 26th, 2026, for theft. Shoemaker was issued a notice to appear and cite and release.
A traffic accident was reported on May 29th, 2026, at approximately 1:39 PM at 127 S Liberty St. A vehicle operated by Debra Crowe of Browning was attempting to enter a parking spot and struck a parked vehicle owned by Gary Thomas of Rushville. Damage to one or both vehicles was estimated to exceed $1,500.
A total of four traffic violation warnings were issued.
Officers responded to one commercial burglary alarm, three animal complaints, one remove unwanted subject complaint, five speak to officer requests, four theft complaints, one drive off complaint, one burn complaint, two reckless driving complaints, one neighbor dispute complaint, two domestic complaints, one suspicious person complaint, one suspicious circumstances complaint and two found item complaints.

May 25, 2026
A resident in the 500 block of E Jefferson St was issued a verbal notice to abate on May 21st, 2026, for litter accumulation on property.
A traffic accident was reported on May 21st, 2026, at approximately 6:20 PM at the intersection of US 24 and US 67. A vehicle operated by a 16yo male of Rushville was traveling south on US 67 and attempted to make a left turn onto US 24 (W Clinton St) and failed to yield to an oncoming vehicle operated by Serenity Lamaster of Beardstown. The male’s vehicle struck Lamaster’s vehicle. The 16yo driver was issued a citation for failure to yield at an intersection. Damage to one or both vehicles was estimated to exceed $1,500.
A traffic accident was reported on May 22nd, 2026, at approximately 2:01 Pm at 119 W Adams St. A vehicle operated by Sue Hammack of Camden was backing out of a parking space and struck a parked vehicle owned by Donald Robertson of Browning. Damage to one or both vehicles was estimated to exceed $1,500.
Zackary R Fletcher, 36, of Rushville was arrested on May 22nd, 2026, for two counts of aggravated discharge of a firearm. Fletcher was lodged in the Schuyler County Jail. Additional charges pending.
A total of two traffic violation warnings were issued.

A resident on Penwood Dr was issued a notice to abate on May 11th, 2026, for allowing trees and other plants to become overgrowth, permitting weeds and grass to exceed 10 inches and maintaining piles of brush on property.
A traffic accident was reported on May 11th, 2026, at approximately 3.25 PM at 135 S Morgan St. A vehicle operated by Ashley Griffin of Astoria was attempting to make a right turn past a parked car and struck the vehicle owned by Lacey Marcelino of Rushville. Damage to one or both vehicles was estimated to exceed $1500.
A resident in the 700 block of E Washington St was issued a notice to abate on May 11th, 2026, for maintaining a derelict vehicle on their property.
A resident in the 500 block of W Lafayette St was issued a notice to abate on May 13th, 2026, for maintaining a derelict vehicle on their property.
A resident in the 300 block of S Congress St was issued a notice to abate on May 15th, 2026, for maintaining a derelict vehicle on their property.
A resident in the 300 block of S Congress St was issued a notice to abate on May 15th, 2026, for maintaining two derelict vehicles on their property.

A property owner at 424 W Lafayette was issued a notice to abate on May 7th, 2026, for allowing weeds and to exceed the height of 10 inches.
Sarah A Norris, 39, of Rushville was arrested on May 6th, 2026, on an outstanding warrant issued by the Circuit Court of Schuyler County. Norris was lodged in the Schuyler County Jail.
A resident in the 400 block of W Jefferson St was issued a notice to abate on May 7th, 2026, for maintaining three derelict vehicles on property.
A resident in the 300 block of S Congress St was issued a notice to abate on May 7th, 2026, for maintaining a derelict vehicle on property.
A traffic accident was reported on April 9th, 2026, at 520 W Clinton St. A vehicle operated by Abigail Moore of Quincy was backing out of a parking spot and struck a vehicle operated by Cynthia Greer of Rushville as she was driving through the parking lot. Damage to one or both vehicles exceeded $1,500.
A total of 3 traffic violation warnings were issued.

A traffic accident that had occurred on April 20, 2026, at the US 67 and US 24 junction between a semi-truck and a passenger car had remained under investigation to determine the at-fault driver. Through the assistance of surveillance video from a local business and the dash camera video from the semi-truck driver, officers were able to determine that the vehicle driven by Shirley Krumwiede, of Beardstown to be at fault by disobeying a red light. Video clearly showed that the North and South bound lanes (US 67) had a green light.
A total of 3 traffic violation warnings were issued.
Officers responded to one 911 misdial, two parking complaints, seven speak to officer requests, one commercial burglary alarm, one commercial fire alarm, two neighbor dispute complaints, one fight complaint, one suspicious circumstances complaint, one suspicious vehicle complaint, one vandalism complaint, one reckless driving complaint, two juvenile problem complaints, one loud noise/underage drinking complaint, one drive off complaint, one assault complaint, two disorderly conduct complaints, one found item complaint, one burn complaint and one missing person complaint.
Officers performed 188 business checks and found two open doors. April 27, 2026

A traffic accident was reported on April 20th, 2026, at approximately 1:17 PM at the intersection of US 67 and US 24. A vehicle operated by Shirley Krumwiede of Beardstown was traveling East on US 24 and was turning South onto US 67 and was struck by a Semi operated by Kendall Brooks of Burlington IA that was traveling South bound on US 67. No injuries were reported. Damage to one or both vehicles was estimated to exceed $1,500.
A resident in the 400 block of Elm St was issued a notice to abate on April 24th, 2026, for discarding and leaving litter upon property and maintaining two derelict vehicles on the property.
A property owner in the 300 block of N Jackson St was issued a notice to abate on April 24th, 2026, for permitting weeds and grass to exceed a height of ten inches.
Victoria Varaniai, 41, of Beloit, WI was issued a citation on April 24th, 2026, for operating an uninsured vehicle and operating a vehicle with a child under 8 yr olds not properly restrained in a child safety seat.
A traffic accident was reported on April 25th, 2026, at approximately 2:52 PM at the intersection of S Liberty St and Jefferson St. A vehicle operated by Shaun McNeece of Franklin, IL was traveling South on Liberty St and was struck by a vehicle operated by a Kiera Fisher of Astoria that was traveling West on Jefferson St. Fisher stated that she stopped and then proceeded through the intersection and did not see McNeece’s vehicle. Damage to one or both vehicles was estimated to exceed $1,500. Fisher was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
Mikah Peterman, 20, of Industry was arrested on April 26, 2026, for two counts of assault. Peterman was issued two citations and issued a cite and release with notice to appear.
Robert Beatty, 56, of Rushville was issued a citation for operating an uninsured vehicle.
A total of 13 traffic violation warnings were issued.

A traffic accident was reported April 13th, 2026, at approximately 11:35 AM at 101 Rodewald Dr. A vehicle operated by Gary Thomas of Rushville was backing out of a parking spot and struck a vehicle operated by Rosalinda Leone of Rushville. Damages were estimated to be over $1,500 to one or both vehicles.
Kellie Thompson, 32, of Rushville was arrested on April 14th, 2026, for battery. Thompson was issued a citation and issued a cite and release with notice to appear.
Kyle Miller, 26, of Rushville was arrested on April 15th, 2026, for an outstanding warrant issued by the Circuit Court of Schuyler County. Miller was lodged at the Schuyler County Jail.
A resident in the 200 block of West Adams was issued a notice to abate on April 16th, 2026, for permitting weeds and grass to exceed a height of ten (10) inches.
Lucas Homan, 44, of Coatsburg was arrested on April 19th, 2026, for driving while license revoked. Additionally, Homan was cited for no valid proof of insurance, no vehicle registration and no proof of vehicle title transfer. Homan was issued a cite and release with notice to appear.
A total of four traffic violation warnings were issued.
Officers responded to one suspicious person complaint, two stand by to retrieve belongings requests, two fraud complaints, two loud noise complaints, six speak to officer requests, two ordinance violation complaints, one suspicious circumstances complaint, four traffic hazard complaints, one storm damage complaint, one domestic complaint and one animal complaint.

Officers performed eleven house watches, four check well-beings, eight citizen contacts, one follow-up investigation and nine paper services. Officers assisted the Schuyler County Sheriff's Office three times, other agencies once, the fire department once and assisted EMS two times.

A resident in the 300 block of East Jefferson St. was issued a notice to abate on March 30th, 2026, for leaving derelict vehicle(s) parked on the property.
Joseph Dietsch, 44, of Rushville was arrested on March 31st, 2026, for possession of methamphetamine, methamphetamine delivery and possession of drug paraphernalia. Dietsch was issued citations and issued a cite and release with notice to appear.
Joseph Dietsch, 44, of Rushville was arrested on April 3rd, 2026, for an outstanding warrant issued by the Illinois Department of Corrections. Dietsch was lodged at the Schuyler County Jail.
Heather Meunier, 37, of Macomb was arrested on March 31st, 2026, for possession of methamphetamine. Meunier was issued a citation and issued a cite and release with notice to appear.
Christy Beatty, 65, of Beardstown was arrested on March 31st, 2026, for retail theft. Beatty was issued a citation and issued a cite and release with notice to appear.
A traffic accident was reported March 31st, 2026, at approximately 6:08 AM at the intersection of West Clinton St. and South Monroe St. A vehicle operated by Timothy Wallace of Rushville pulled out in front of a motor scooter operated by Amy Hoke of Rushville. Damages were estimated to be over $1,500 to one or both vehicles.
A traffic accident was reported March 31st, 2026, at approximately 10:58 AM at 121 Meadowview Dr. A vehicle operated by Alecia Matthews of Meredosia backed into a tree at the residence. Damages were estimated to be over $1,500 to the vehicle.
A traffic accident was reported on March 31st, 2026, at approximately 12:18 PM at 231 North Liberty St. A vehicle operated by Carol Jones of Mount Sterling was backing out of a parking spot and struck a vehicle operated by Marvin Phelps of Colchester who was also backing out of a parking spot. Damages were estimated to be over $1,500 to one or both vehicles.
A traffic accident was reported April 3rd, 2026, at approximately 5:27 PM at the intersection of Highway 67 and West Lafayette St. A vehicle operated by Daniel Gutierrez of Rushville pulled out in front of a vehicle operated by Savannah Cretsinger of Rushville. Gutierrez was issued a citation for the accident and was cited for failure to obey stop sign. Cretsinger was issued a citation for expired registration. Damages were estimated to be over $1,500 to one or both vehicles.
A traffic accident was reported April 3rd, 2026, at approximately 5:56 PM at 113 West Washington St. A vehicle operated Kristen Wayland of Rushville backed into a parked vehicle owned by Karen Martin of Rushville. Wayland was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Damages were estimated to be over $1,500 to one or both vehicles.
A traffic accident was reported April 5th, 2026, at approximately 6:38 AM at 304 West Clinton St. A vehicle operated by Geri Ringenberg of Rushville backed into a parked vehicle owned by Brian Smith of Littleton. Damages were estimated to be over $1,500 to Smith’s vehicle.
A traffic accident was reported April 5th, 2026, at approximately 10:35 AM at 710 East Adams St. A vehicle operated by Alison Ruth of Rushville was attempting to turn into a parking lot and turned into oncoming traffic and was struck by Lori Hulvey or Camden. Damages were estimated to be over $1,500 to both vehicles.
A total of five traffic violation warnings were issued.

Jeffrey Miller, 62, of Rushville was arrested March 23rd, 2026, for possession of a firearm by a felon and unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition. Additionally, Miller was issued a citation for failure to use turn signal when required. Miller was lodged at the Schuyler County Jail.
A resident in the 800 block of East Adams St. was issued a notice to abate on March 26th, 2026, for discarding and leaving litter upon the property and litter accumulation.
Brett Prather, 53, of Rushville was arrested March 27th, 2026, for an outstanding warrant issued by the Circuit Court of Cass County. Prather was released and issued a notice to appear.
A traffic accident was reported on March 28th, 2026, at approximately 6:30 PM at the intersection of South Liberty St. and East Madison St. A vehicle operated by Jonathan Fuqua of Rushville pulled out in front of a vehicle operated by a 16-year-old juvenile of Rushville. Fuqua was issued a citation for the accident. Damages were estimated to be over $1,500 to one or both vehicles.
Markus Schneider, 18, of Rushville was arrested on March 30th, 2026, for aggravated battery of a peace officer and illegal consumption of alcohol. Schneider was issued a cite and release with notice to appear.
A total of eight traffic violation warnings were issued.
