First Responder Electrical Safety Training was held at the Rushville Fire Department on Thursday, March 26. Rushville and Beardstown Fire Departments, as well as Schuyler County EMS were represented. The training covers downed power lines, equipment in lines, pulling meters, pole fires, and pad-mounted transformers. Fires involving electric vehicles and solar installations were also discussed. The program provides knowledge to first responders to help them react safely during emergencies involving electricity. Schuyler County EMS had a wonderful time attending the Teddy Bear Clinic at Webster School! Events like this help make medical experiences less scary and build trust with the people who are here to help in emergencies. We are proud to be part of a community that supports learning, safety, and fun for our kids.
