Last Monday evening we enjoyed the Liveline Demo from Steve Hancock. We would like to send a big Thank You to Adams Electrical Co-op for sponsoring the presentation. Members from the Schuyler County Fire District, Rushville Fire Dept., Browning Fire Dept., Industry Fire Dept., and the Rushville Police Dept. Were in attendance.

The Schuyler County Fire Protection District, Rushville Fire Dept. Recently hosted a presentation by Adams Electrical Co-Op about electrical hazards in emergency situations. Safety involving Power lines, underground transformers and even electric vehicle safety were covered. We welcomed attendees from Schuyler County EMS and The Beardstown Fire Department as well.

While taking time to change all the clocks in your house, today is also a great day to test and check your smoke alarm expiration dates. Smoke alarms with internal batteries should be replaced every 10 years. Remember to test smoke alarms monthly.

The burn ban for Schuyler County Fire Protection District which was implemented due to elevated fire risk is being rescinded as current weather conditions have significantly reduced the risk of rapid fire spread.
While the burn ban has been lifted, residents are reminded to continue to exercise caution when conducting any outside burning and to comply with all local ordinances and safety guidelines.
