Flooding will continue across some areas today. Scattered showers and some isolated thunderstorms will be across central Indiana today. Severe storms are not expected. Today will be cooler with highs in the lower to middle 70s. Tuesday will be dry with highs in the mid 70s to around 80. Rain chances return Wednesday.

extending from 8 miles south of Shelbyville to 10 miles east of
Columbus, moving east at 35 mph.

This hazardous weather outlook is for central Indiana.
DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Thunderstorms are expected this afternoon into tonight with some
severe storms possible, mainly from 300 PM EDT to 100 AM EDT.
Damaging winds and isolated tornadoes are the primary threats from the storms.

Lightning is also a threat with any thunderstorm.

In addition, moderate to heavy rainfall is expected this afternoon
into tonight which may lead to localized flooding and increase
current minor river flooding.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Additional thunderstorms are possible Monday and again Wednesday through Saturday.
SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

afternoon into tonight.

Most of central Indiana is in a Slight Risk (Level 2 of 5) for severe weather. Damaging winds and isolated tornadoes are the primary severe threats. The severe threat is mainly from 3 PM EDT to 1 AM EDT. Heavy rain and localized flooding are also possible.
A Flood Watch is in effect from this afternoon into early Monday morning for much of central Indiana. 1 to 3 inches of rainfall is expected, with locally higher amounts possible. This could lead to flooding across the region.
