Julie Vaughan is a local girl that grew up in northern Rush County and now lives in Wisconsin.
This is a post from her FB post on her baby and giving vaccines.
Great insight on immunizations!!!

I’m a family medicine doctor and today I vaccinated my baby.

There’s a lot of noise these days around vaccines and because of this, I understand the hesitancy for people who don’t know what to believe.

Is it hard to see my baby fussy because he doesn’t feel good and his legs hurt? Absolutely.

But here’s what I know. It would be so much harder to watch him cough so hard he throws up because he got whooping cough (pertussis; the “p” in DTaP vaccine). It would be so much harder to see him hospitalized on oxygen with pneumonia (pneumococcal vaccine). It would be so much harder to see him with a breathing tube because his airway has swollen from the H influenza bacteria (HiB vaccine). I can deal with one night of fussiness to save him from all of that and more.

My messages are always open for questions or to learn more! Vaccinations are safe and protect all of us, especially our kids 💕

Please be aware of ticks as the weather warms up and we all want to spend time outdoors! Wear long sleeves, use bug repellent and check for ticks when you come in.

Ticks can be THIS TINY 🤯🤯

Even the smallest ticks can cause big problems, having the potential to spread a multitude of diseases to humans. As the weather warms up, you may begin seeing ticks in grassy or wooded areas. Protect yourself by using bug repellent, wearing long sleeves and pants in wooded areas, and checking for ticks after being outside.
