We very thankful for a generous donation to the department that made it possible purchase new TNT battery powered extrication equipment. They will save precious minutes in activation upon arrival to a scene. They will replace aging and outdated tool that have serviced the community well for several decades. Thank you Hoosier Fire Equipment, Inc. for delivery and overview of our new tools. They will go into service in the near future.

Early this month, Rushville City Fire Department received their delivery of TNT Rescue Systems, Inc. tools- a Cutter, Spreader and a Ram.

Our Extrication Specialist, Brandon, helped deliver the tools and gave the department an in-service training on how to operate the tools.

Congrats, Rushville, on this impressive purchase and thank you for working with us to get these tools into your department!

The Rushville Fire Department has been granted permission to use an apartment building for hands on training over the next three days. This building is slated to be removed shortly and this is a great opportunity that doesnt come along too often. There will not be any live fires, but could see some smoke coming from the apartments due to a smoke generating device. We will be in the area of Watson St. & E. 11th St. Please use caution when in that area.

It’s great to see that other departments within the district are able to use this facility that the State of Indiana provided to us. This facility wouldn’t have happened without the City of Rushville backing and making it possible with the land and infrastructure.
