The guardrail project on Camden Road has started. WATCH FOR SIGNS AND FLAGGERS! Be prepared to expect travel delays and one lane closures. These delays will be in effect for approximately few months.

The 2nd phase of the re-surfacing of Camden, Old Macomb, La Prairie, Barlow Spur, and Sugar Grove Road will begin Monday 9-27-21. There is approximately a 1/2 hour cure time for the surfacing once placed, please be advised to try to avoid tracking in the surfacing lane.

The Schuyler County Highway Department started cape sealing the following roads on 9-13-2021:

Barlow Spur (County Highway 1)
Sugar Grove Road (County Highway 1)

Old Macomb Road (County Highway 5)
Camden Road (County Highway 5)
LaPrairie Road (County Highway 5)

Starting from the West to the East.

The process includes an oil and chip layer to seal crack and smooth the road. A hard black micro-surface will be placed within 1-2 weeks after the oil and chip layer.

Attention: The LaPrairie Road Bridge(County Highway 5) on Cedar Creek at the Schuyler-Adams County line is now OPEN to all through traffic.

This is used as a connecting route between Quincy and Peoria, via 336 & US IL Route 61 to Route 24.
