ANNOUNCEMENT: IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR!

FALL LIGHTPOLE DECORATING CONTEST 2026

The beautiful flower baskets will be taken down by October 5, 2026

Let's decorate the Rushford Downtown area, Peterson, and Rushford Village businesses for Fall. All businesses are invited to decorate and join our contest for Valley Doe Dollars. There were awesome ideas last year. We can't wait to see the unique ideas this year!

The school group will be decorating the three poles at the four way stop and have their own valley doe contest!

Please see attached flyer for dates/deadlines.

Do not block sidewalks
No flashing or strobe lights.
Decorations must be secured to the pole to withstand the weather.

The Chamber will be hosting the City wide businesses and organizations TRICK OR TREATING on Friday, October 30, 2026 from 3:30-5:30. Please watch for this flyer in participating locations. The Lions Club will be generously offering their time to help our children stay safe in the crosswalks. Thank you for keeping our children safe!

The Root River Trail Towns 65-Mile Garage Sale returns Friday & Saturday, September 11–12, with sales stretching through communities across Bluff Country.

There’s no starting or ending point—pick a town, follow the master map, and make your own route as you hunt for bargains, hidden gems and one-of-a-kind finds along the way.

🗺️ New sales will continue to be added to the master map right up until event weekend, so be sure to check back as Sept. 11–12 gets closer.

Make a day (or a weekend) of it: shop the sales, grab a bite, explore our downtowns and enjoy the Root River Valley as summer gives way to fall.
