* At 436 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Vanceburg, or
18 miles northwest of Carter Caves State Park, moving east at 35
mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Ashland, Ironton, Coal Grove, Cannonsburg, Lake Vesuvius, Kenova,
Catlettsburg, Greenup, Princess, Coalton, Greenbo Lake, Oldtown,
Naples, Rush, Load, Durbin, Letitia, Flatwoods, South Point, and
Russell.
This includes Interstate 64 in Kentucky between mile markers 175 and
191.
AFFECTS: Boyd, KY; Carter, KY; Greenup, KY; Lawrence, OH
INSTRUCTION: Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
