Thank you Wythe-Bland Foundation.

We are excited to highlight our grantee, the Town of Rural Retreat, and their incredible new community splash pad project at the Rural Retreat Heritage Park and Market! 💦☀️

This new 1,500-square-foot splash pad was created to provide an accessible, inclusive, and engaging recreational space where children and families can gather, play, and stay active together. Located alongside the playground, common area, and Farmer’s Market, this vibrant addition will help foster community connections while encouraging healthy lifestyles and outdoor fun.

We’re especially excited that the splash pad and playground are set to officially open next Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 1:00 PM! 🎉

Projects like this strengthen communities by creating welcoming spaces where families can thrive, friendships can grow, and memories can be made for years to come. Congratulations to the Town of Rural Retreat on this exciting investment in the community!

Commercially available fuel stoves, such as propane camp stoves, enclosed lanterns and isobutane backpacking stoves are still permitted to be used. Visitors and hikers are reminded not to leave stoves or lanterns unattended and to make sure they are fully extinguished after using.
