📌 Don't forget, we have our Med & Shred Event THIS Saturday, June 20th, from 9AM-12PM at Town Hall. Ahead of the event, we wanted to address some of the frequently asked questions:
❓Do I have to live in Rural Hall?
No, this is a public event and you do not have to live in Rural Hall to participate.
❓How much is it?
This is a FREE event.
❓Is the shredding done on site?
Yes! The shredding is done on site by a shred truck. It can handle large volumes, and even staples!
❓For the Med portion, will you be accepting used needles?
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept and dispose used needles. However, please see this resource where you can search for local disposal sites, and also get instructions on how to safely dispose of needles at home. https://safeneedledisposal.org/
❓Any other questions? Let us know in the comments! We look forward to seeing you Saturday!
Needle disposal is a public health and safety issue that is commonly overlooked. The problem is that there are limited options for safe disposal of needles which leads to dangerous situations for the public – including injury and the spread of infectious disease.
