Richwood, WV- On Thursday, June 18, 2026, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Mary C. Green, 62, of Richwood, West Virginia, left her residence on Greenbrier Road and has not been seen since.
Mrs. Green has been diagnosed with dementia and is believed to have entered a wooded area near her residence. The West Virginia State Police have conducted extensive search efforts utilizing aviation resources, drones, K-9 teams, emergency service personnel, and numerous civilian volunteers. As of this date, Mrs. Green has not been located.
Mrs. Green has been entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) as a Silver Alert.
This investigation remains active and ongoing.
Anyone with information regarding Mrs. Green’s whereabouts, or who may have seen or located her, is asked to contact the West Virginia State Police at (304) 256-6700.

Per the WV State Police the search for Mrs. Green on Greenbrier Road has been paused at this time. They are looking at other areas and possibilities of locations. We want to thank everyone that was involved in this search and was offering to help.

The Greenbrier west girls softball team are leaving the school Tuesday at 1:00 pm to compete in the state tournament. Let’s see a ton support for these young ladies along the route to Sam black church!! Come on out and show some love to our team!!!!
