Beginning this week, State Highway 24 will be reduced to one lane in each direction from 21st Street to 300 South Road. All lanes will reopen in June after contractors have reconstructed SH-24.

A fresh wave of text message scams seems to be making the rounds again. (Do they ever really stop?) The following is a scam that the Chief received a few days ago.
Law enforcement will never contact you via text message regarding citations or other infractions, and we will never ask you to send money using gift cards or bitcoin. If it sounds odd, it probably is.
If you receive one of these solicitations, feel free to call us and ask about it.
