Good afternoon, all,

A quick info share from what I know regarding the Sand Hill rd bridge. This means it is required to be inspected at least annually for structural integrity of safe passage, with recommendations of repair, possibly even twice a year from now on. If the bridge furthers to worsen, it could be directed to close immediately.
The Town is trying to lengthen usage, by means of lowering the weight limit to 6 Tons/12,000lbs (mainly passenger vehicles).

From this point on, the continuance of heavy and or commercial trucks/vehicles is strictly prohibited. If/when any vehicles are observed or reported of crossing, and directly exceed the weight limit, you will be served a Town Ordinance (hand summons) form and complaint with a court date as well as being held until State Police commercial until arrives with scales to have accurate weights. I would suggest to detour. Apologies for the inconvenience.

The Highway Department was allowed by the State to post new signs on Rt 25 displaying this. If you have any questions, reach out to the Road Agent or Select Board.

Thank you and have a well day.
~Chief~
