A high-risk s*x offender has moved from Velva to a home on First Street Northwest in Rugby, according to a statement released by the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office Sept. 7.
Eric Michael Poile, 35, registered with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office, listing his address as 312 1st St. NW in Rugby, the statement said, adding Poile moved from Velva on Sept. 6.

Poile had lived in Rugby in 2018 before moving to Velva, then returning to Rugby Sept. 6.
“Poile is not wanted by law enforcement at this time, and has served his court imposed sentence,” the statement added. “The purpose of this release is not to cause fear, but to inform the residents of Pierce County.”
