• Review your family’s severe weather safety plan and identify a safe shelter location.
• Secure outdoor items that could become airborne in strong winds.
• Charge electronic devices and be prepared for possible power outages.
• Avoid traveling during severe weather unless absolutely necessary

Attention Residents!

A tree limb down in the Jordan Street area is currently causing power outages in and around Royston.

Georgia Power and the Royston Fire Department are on scene actively attempting to resolve the issue and restore power.

We ask for patience, and for everyone to avoid the area that has been affected.

This afternoon your Royston Fire Department gathered together to check trucks and equipment, and attended a Hazardous Materials Awareness class! This class was held in conjunction with the Franklin Springs Fire Department.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Rockdale County Fire Department, located in North Central GA, East of Atlanta. A fireman was killed today in a motor vehicle accident, when their ladder truck turned over. Please pray for the department and its members.
