The members of the Royersford Fire Department proudly recognize Craig Schell for an incredible 50 years of service to our organization and the community we serve.

Over the past five decades, Craig has worn many hats and dedicated countless hours to ensuring the success of our department. His commitment has been evident through his service as Bar Manager, Trustee, Chief Engineer, and through many years of continued support behind the scenes.

Fifty years of service represents far more than time. It reflects unwavering dedication, leadership, friendship, and a deep commitment to the Royersford Fire Department family. Craig’s contributions have helped shape our organization and leave a lasting impact that will be felt for generations to come.

Important announcement regarding the Standing with Dave Pig Roast Benefit on Sunday!

We have ample parking at our 3rd Avenue lot behind the ballpark, but we expect a huge showing. Overflow parking will be located at the 2nd Avenue Municipal Lot, a short walk through Victory Park will get you to the fire hall.

Your Royersford Fire Department is saddened to hear of the unfortunate LODD of Officer Yeager of the Central Berks Police Department.

Please keep the brothers and sisters in blue in your hearts this weekend.

Today, our department mourns the heartbreaking loss of Officer Kristen Yeager, who made the ultimate sacrifice while responding to a call for service on May 29, 2026.

Officer Yeager served our community with courage, compassion, and unwavering dedication. She answered the call to protect and serve each day, placing the safety of others above her own. Her commitment to her badge, her fellow officers, and the citizens she served will never be forgotten.

We ask that you keep Officer Yeager’s family, friends, and our entire law enforcement family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest easy, Officer Yeager. Your watch has ended, but your legacy of service and sacrifice will live on forever. We got it from here.

Today marks the end of part 1 of a journey none of us ever imagined Dave and his family would be facing. We want to thank everyone for the incredible love, support, meals, messages, prayers, and check-ins throughout these past 6 weeks of treatment. The outpouring of support from our fire service family, friends, and community has meant more than words can express. 💙

Now begins part 2: recovery. The next 6–8 weeks will bring new challenges, but Dave and his family continue to face them with strength, hope, and gratitude — taking it one day at a time. We ask that you continue to keep them in your thoughts and stand beside them through the road ahead.

The rain has unfortunately dampened any plans for the parade today. But it shouldn’t sully the meaning of the holiday. Enjoy the day the best you can and remember those who are the reason for the day.

Your Royersford Fire Department is asking for the communities help and support. Recently, Life Member and former Deputy Chief Dave Panetta was diagnosed with cancer. With the joint efforts of multiple agencies we will be hosting a benefit dinner to help support him and his family.

Dave started as a junior firefighter with Friendship Fire Company in 1998, rising to the rank of Fire Chief. At the merger of the two area fire companies in 2011 to create Royersford Fire Department, Dave took on the roll of Deputy Chief. Additionally, in 2005 Dave started his full time career with the Radnor Fire Company and currently holds the rank of Battalion Chief. Throughout the years he has also been an active member with West End Fire Company in Phoenixville, Malvern Fire Company, and the Phoenixville Fire Department.

Congratulations to Nina, the winner of our May Raffle Basket! 🎉

Thank you to everyone who purchased tickets and supported the Royersford Fire Department throughout the weekend. This basket spent the weekend on display at Hookies Bar & Grill Room and also made an appearance at the Royersford Farmers Market this past Saturday before finding its lucky winner!

We appreciate the continued support from our community and our friends at Hookies for helping showcase the basket.

We would also like to thank Dimitri's Pizza & Annamarie's for their gracious donation of gift cards for this basket!

🚨BUSY WEEKEND FOR ROYERSFORD FD🚨

It’s been a very busy weekend so far for your Royersford Fire Department, and it’s not over just yet! Since noon on Friday we have answered the call for 7 emergencies spanning 4 municipalities and 2 different counties. This has included a serious motor vehicle accident on 422, a detached garage on fire in East Coventry, and a serious house fire overnight last night in Upper Providence.

All this was done while also joining the community with some events Saturday morning!

As the weekend winds down we’ll post more details about some of the mentioned incidents. In the mean time, please be sure to check out the pages of just a few of our mutual aid departments as they post about the incidents as well:
