Founded in 1999, The Learning Center was one of the first charter schools in Florida.

TLC is a tuition-free, public charter school exclusively serving autistic students from PreK–High School ages 3-22. We unlock opportunities for children with autism by providing a free, high-quality, accessible, custom education & supportive therapies. TLC has grown tremendously over 25 years due in large part to the leadership of its award-winning staff & dedicated families. This shared journey is made up of many chapters… we’re deeply grateful for all the people who’ve poured their hearts into our students & shaped TLC’s success along the way.

This month, we're celebrating our amazing students who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) to express themselves, share their thoughts, make choices, and connect with the world around them! 🌎✨
From using AAC devices in the classroom to communicating during playtime and everyday activities, our students are showing us that there is no one-size-fits-all way to communicate! 💙
We're proud to create an environment where every student has the opportunity to express themselves, build independence, and feel heard, valued, and included. 🌟

The finish line is in sight, and we're so close to reaching our stretch goal!

Thanks to the incredible support of our students, families, staff, and community, our Sun Ray Run has raised $11,490, surpassing our $10,000 school goal!

We have just 7 days left to reach our $15,000 stretch goal!

We're only $3,510 away from unlocking our final schoolwide reward, a Shaved Ice Truck and Silly Staff Show!

Classrooms can also earn fun rewards, including pancakes with the principal, lunch in the café, and an outdoor picnic with extra recess.
