Yesterday, the Royal Oak Police Department was proud to support the 2026 Royal Oak Memorial Day Parade, as we gathered as a community to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Led by Chief Moore and the Royal Oak PD Honor Guard, our police officers, auxiliary officers, and 911 Dispatchers were proud to stand alongside our community in remembrance.

We'd be remiss if we didn't give a massive thank you and shout-out to our incredible ROPD Honor Guard. Their presentation of the colors, precision, and dedication represent the very best of our department. They put in countless hours of training to ensure our fallen heroes are honored with the highest level of dignity and respect, and they truly shined yesterday.

Thank you to everyone who lined the streets, waved flags, and shared this meaningful day with us. We are proud to serve this community.

We had a great time being a part of the Red Run Playground Ribbon Cutting. Thanks for the invite!!

Officer Stienke recently stopped by St. Mary's to spend some time with a local Girl Scout Daisy troop! The Daisies learned all about what police officers do and earned their Respecting Authority petal in the process.

Word on the street is they thought it was the coolest thing ever—and we think they're pretty cool, too! Great job earning your badge, girls!
