On May 28, 2026, officers with the Roy Police Department responded to a traffic accident involving injuries near 4750 South 1900 West.

Preliminary information indicates that a gold Honda Accord was traveling at a high rate of speed prior to colliding with a semi-truck and trailer.

Upon arrival, officers located the driver of the Honda Accord deceased at the scene. A second driver involved in the collision was extricated from their vehicle by fire personnel and transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.

Due to the fatal nature of the crash, the Weber County Metro CRASH Team responded to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision.

The deceased driver of the Honda Accord has been identified as 25-year-old Jack Hemseri of Eagle, Idaho.

This incident remains under investigation.

This unidentified male entered the 7-Eleven convenience store at 5605 South 3500 W in Roy on April 13, 2026 at approximately 2:25 A.M. This male began stealing merchandise and when confronted by an employee he presented a firearm.

Overnight Closure at I-15 & 5600 South (SR-97) – April 10

Crews will close the roadway beneath I-15 at 5600 South (SR-97), and all the interchange on/off ramps this week, on Friday, April 10 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. to prepare for the opening of the SPUI interchange in its final configuration. Drivers should plan ahead and use alternate routes.

A SPUI (Single-Point Urban Interchange) is designed to move traffic more efficiently by allowing all left turns at the interchange to be controlled by a single traffic signal.

This individual has been identified! We want to thank everyone for their concern and their assistance in identifying this victim.

Do you recognize me?

This individual has been identified as the victim of a fraud. On February 26, 2026, at approximately 2:30 P.M. this male entered a gas station in the area of 4400 South 1900 West and deposited money into a Bitcoin machine. The money has been recovered but detectives have been unable to identify the male.
