Thank you to First Parish of Norwell Unitarian Universalist Church for this generous donation of welcome and send-off baskets for the families at Renewal House, our emergency domestic violence shelter.

Collected by members of the Women's Circle and supplemented through support from the Fogg Outreach Committee, these baskets will provide much needed comfort and support.

We are grateful for your kindness and partnership. Your generosity is appreciated.

May is mental health awareness month, a time to shine a light and support those carrying struggles in silence and remind them they are not alone.

At RYP, mental health does not go unnoticed. RYP students have participated in hand-on wellness workshops, peace banner projects with Louis D. Brown, and learned how to use Hey Sam (a 24/7 live su***de prevention hotline). Along with learning how physical well being can help in decompressing, such as in Zumba class, with Northeastern co-op student, Heidi Ho.

RYP students are encouraged to heal, grow, and stand with one another.

This year, it marks 200 years since Reverend Tuckerman's founding vision began. In 1826, Reverend Joseph Tuckerman began a ministry to support the Roxbury Community through education, direct service, and advocacy.

Today, this ministry is known as the Unitarian Universalist Urban Ministry. His work paved the way for a new approach to social change, the UUUM has a mission to dismantle racism and white supremacy, advancing racial, social, and economic justice.

As we honor this milestone, we’ll be reflecting on our history and highlighting the people and programs that continue to carry this work forward.

We are so happy to have had another successful Patriots Day at the First Church Roxbury! The Roxbury Collaborative did such a great job putting together an amazing Patriots Day celebration. THe UUUM was so excited to have supported them during the day. It was great to see multiple staff members and RYP youth participating.

Also, thank you to FUUSN for providing an amazing breakfast for all those who have attended so early in the morning. It is great to have one of our member congregations back in action to support the Roxbury community!
