📣 A quick heads-up as we get ready for a BIG weekend at the museum!

The Person County Museum of History will be closed next week as our team prepares the campus for the Early America Living History Fair on Saturday, September 12.

⚡ Please also note that our electric vehicle charging stations will be unavailable beginning at 2 PM on Thursday, September 10, through 5 PM on Saturday, September 12 as the museum parking lot will be closed for event preparations and activities.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we get everything ready. We can’t wait to welcome you to the museum on September 12th for the Early America Living History Fair! 🇺🇸

📬 Check this out! Oscar Scott Woody’s incredible story is getting national recognition from the U.S. Postal Service!

USPS recently shared a feature highlighting Woody, a Person County native and one of the five sea postal clerks who lost their lives aboard the Titanic while trying to save the mail in their care. 🚢✉️

We’re proud to help keep his story alive and share this important piece of Person County history.
