Last night, the Rowlett City Council took an important step forward in the search for Rowlett's next City Manager.

"Tuesday, the Rowlett City Council selected Clear Career Professionals as our preferred executive search firm and authorized the Interim City Manager to negotiate a contract with them to begin the search for Rowlett’s next City Manager.

Clear Career Professionals is a Texas-based public-sector recruitment firm with experience helping local governments identify leadership candidates for positions such as City Manager, City Attorney, Finance Director, Economic Development Director, and public safety executives. Their process is designed to include input from the City Council, executive staff, key stakeholders, and the community, while using direct outreach and professional networks to recruit strong candidates who fit Rowlett’s needs, both today and into the future.

This marks an important step for our community. The Council is committed to a thoughtful, professional, and transparent process as we work to identify the right leader to help guide Rowlett forward."

Mosquitoes testing positive for West Nile Virus have been detected in Rowlett Zone 3. Dallas County will conduct ground spraying TONIGHT, Tuesday, June 9 from 9 p.m. – 5 a.m., weather permitting.

🚗 Noticing slow-moving vehicles with flashing lights in Rowlett at night?

Atmos Energy crews are conducting routine natural gas safety surveys throughout the city. Their leak detection vehicles — typically white SUVs equipped with specialized monitoring equipment — may be seen driving through neighborhoods over the next few weeks.

There's no action required from residents. If you ever smell natural gas, leave the area immediately and call 911 and Atmos Energy at 866-322-8667.

Weather permitting, crews will be installing a new traffic signal cabinets at Main and President George Bush Turnpike. This is just an equipment upgrade, and no permanent traffic changes will be made.
Here's what to expect:

❗️Signals will be dark at this intersection
🛑Temporary stop signs will be in place
🚗The intersections will operate as a 4-way stop until work is complete

This work is funded through the voter-approved Bond Program.
This is your investment in Rowlett's infrastructure at work!
